Their last few releases have seen the label DICHOTOMIC growing in size & stature, and with the release of DICH006 – Alexic Rod – Dreamland we see this expanding further.  DICH006 is a four tracker of original work by Alexic that shows different aspects of his sound.

First up is DREAMLAND, a track which opens the ep very much in accordance with its title. A delightfully cool and dubbed trip through a crisp tech drum track. Bumpy yet fluid there is great depth in this track.

DISTORTED REALITY comes up next and this is altogether a flip from the A1. Groovy and menacing, littered with a wonderfully eerie soundscape this begins to show the producers skill in building moods and this track is a fantastic tool for when you need to take the dancefloor in a certain direction.

On the B1 is SATURATE slightly more stripped back than we have heard so far  but very much welcomed as this no nonsense pumper does exactly that.  Alexic Rod closes out with WHO’S THERE a delicious cut of traditional Tech House, swarming synths and playfully aggressive melodies, a seriously heavy track for a seriously hefty EP.
